What we collect
When you sign in to Dahlia, we receive your email address and Google profile information via Google OAuth. We store your account data in Supabase, our database and authentication provider.
We also store content you submit: content warnings, votes, and discussion comments, along with the date and time they were created.
How we use it
- To associate your submissions with your account
- To prevent duplicate votes and enable un-voting
- To display your email to yourself in the navigation bar
- To send you a confirmation when you contact us (via Resend)
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
Third-party services
- Supabase — stores your account, warnings, votes, and comments
- Google OAuth — used for sign-in only; we do not access any Google data beyond your email and name
- TMDB — movie and TV show data (The Movie Database). We do not send any user data to TMDB.
- Resend — used to send contact form replies and moderation reports. Emails are not stored by us beyond Resend's own retention.
Cookies and sessions
Dahlia uses cookies to maintain your login session. These are set by Supabase and are necessary for the app to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Data retention and deletion
Your account and submitted content are retained for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and data deleted, contact us using the form on the Contact page and we will remove it within 30 days.
